Abstract
The functionality of municipal infrastructures is a primary determinant of the ecological, economic and social conditions of a city. The urban wastewater system (sewer network) provides an example of such an infrastructure. High sewer network reliability is an important and mandatory requirement that must be satisfied under field conditions. The reliability of a system is a measure of the probability that the system is functional through some entire period of time. A buried sewer pipe is subject to a large number of influences difficult to predict in advance, since they are random and characterized by significant variability. These factors adversely affect sewer network reliability.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
