This paper deals with the Singular Value Decomposition (SVD) of 3x3 matrices. A customized algorithm is devised which proves to be fast and accurate. Slight modifications of the method also provide very efficient schemes that may be used when fewer unknowns than the ones normally found by the standard SVD are of interest or to seek for the null space of 3x3 singular matrices.

Abstract
