We propose a novel adaptive routing using Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) techniques to reduce the overall loss of a optical packet switching network. By using the inherent capability of load balancing of an ant-based system and the congestion information of the optical buffer, we demonstrate by some simulations the effectiveness of our approach when compared with shortest-path routing.

Abstract
We propose a novel adaptive routing using Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) techniques to reduce the overall loss of a optical packet switching network. By using the inherent capability of load balancing of an ant-based system and the congestion information of the optical buffer, we demonstrate by some simulations the effectiveness of our approach when compared with shortest-path routing.File in questo prodotto:
