A procedure to design new orthoses for the human knee articulation is presented. The design is based on knee equivalent parallel mechanisms whose links closely replicate the main knee anatomical structures; this makes it possible to design orthoses which can either re-establish the complete functionality of the knee articulation or, selectively, only the function of an injured knee structure.

Abstract
A procedure to design new orthoses for the human knee articulation is presented. The design is based on knee equivalent parallel mechanisms whose links closely replicate the main knee anatomical structures; this makes it possible to design orthoses which can either re-establish the complete functionality of the knee articulation or, selectively, only the function of an injured knee structure.File in questo prodotto:
