The present chapter reports the results reached in the last few years by a team of researchers from different disciplines who have explored the study of kidney cancer from an original clinical-biomedical approach, calling for an investigation of kidney cancer both concerning progress in surgery, and biomedical research. The first part of the chapter, dedicated to a thorough analysis of progress made in surgery techniques, is followed by a second one, where the results of our biochemical research study, carried out on healthy and neoplastic renal tissues via in vitro Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy (MRS) are described.

Abstract
The present chapter reports the results reached in the last few years by a team of researchers from different disciplines who have explored the study of kidney cancer from an original clinical-biomedical approach, calling for an investigation of kidney cancer both concerning progress in surgery, and biomedical research. The first part of the chapter, dedicated to a thorough analysis of progress made in surgery techniques, is followed by a second one, where the results of our biochemical research study, carried out on healthy and neoplastic renal tissues via in vitro Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy (MRS) are described.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
