The VIRMOS-VLT Deep Survey (VVDS) is now on-going after the successful completion of the VIMOS instrument comissioning at the ESO-VLT. The VVDS aims to gather more than 100000 redshifts in the range 0<z<5 to measure galaxy and large scale structure evolution over more than 90% of the current age of the universe. I will be presenting the first VVDS results from the observations of more than 20000 galaxies obtained in the fall 2002.

Abstract
The VIRMOS-VLT Deep Survey (VVDS) is now on-going after the successful completion of the VIMOS instrument comissioning at the ESO-VLT. The VVDS aims to gather more than 100000 redshifts in the range 0<z<5 to measure galaxy and large scale structure evolution over more than 90% of the current age of the universe. I will be presenting the first VVDS results from the observations of more than 20000 galaxies obtained in the fall 2002.File in questo prodotto:
