Semplificazione e redazione scientifica ad alta diffusione: un'analisi dei foglietti illustrativi delle specialità medicinali

While text simplification is a main strategy to improve readability, it seems severely constrained by the choice of text genre. In a discourse community, such those involving LSPs, but not only, there are expert members who establish the rules of style, content, addressees of texts. The point is here discussed with reference to the sub-genre of (consumer) medicine information leaflets, comparing a “standard” leaflet with a simplified one.
