PARC focuses on the current technological challenges of developing power-aware computing devices, ranging from servers to portable and wearable systems, to deeply embedded system, under various types of real-time constraints. The main focus will be on software techniques. The goal of this workshop is to bring together people from industry and academia that are interested in all aspects of power-aware computing. The workshop will provide a relaxed forum to present and discuss new ideas, new research directions and to review current trends in this area. The workshop will be based on short presentations that should encourage discussion among the attendees. The topics of the workshop include any issue related to power-aware computing, in particular for embedded and real-time systems, including: Low-power appliances and embedded devices: design and analysis; Power management at the operating system, middleware, compiler, and architectural levels; Software optimization techniques for low power; Tools for energy-aware hardware-software design and analysis; Power-aware application; Power aware networking and distributed systems;

Abstract
PARC focuses on the current technological challenges of developing power-aware computing devices, ranging from servers to portable and wearable systems, to deeply embedded system, under various types of real-time constraints. The main focus will be on software techniques. The goal of this workshop is to bring together people from industry and academia that are interested in all aspects of power-aware computing. The workshop will provide a relaxed forum to present and discuss new ideas, new research directions and to review current trends in this area. The workshop will be based on short presentations that should encourage discussion among the attendees. The topics of the workshop include any issue related to power-aware computing, in particular for embedded and real-time systems, including: Low-power appliances and embedded devices: design and analysis; Power management at the operating system, middleware, compiler, and architectural levels; Software optimization techniques for low power; Tools for energy-aware hardware-software design and analysis; Power-aware application; Power aware networking and distributed systems;I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
