In the last decade, thermophotovoltaic (TPV) generators have gained increasing attention as cogeneration systems for the distributed generation sector. These systems are still not fully developed, since several aspects need to be further investigated and optimized. The aim of this study is to outline the state-of-the-art technological level of thermophotovoltaic generation in the last decade. In greater detail, in Part 2 of this study, the prototypes documented in technical literature are analyzed, with particular attention to the interactions between the different modules. The overall performance of the considered systems is analyzed and compared, to highlight the influence of each component on total efficiency.

Abstract
In the last decade, thermophotovoltaic (TPV) generators have gained increasing attention as cogeneration systems for the distributed generation sector. These systems are still not fully developed, since several aspects need to be further investigated and optimized. The aim of this study is to outline the state-of-the-art technological level of thermophotovoltaic generation in the last decade. In greater detail, in Part 2 of this study, the prototypes documented in technical literature are analyzed, with particular attention to the interactions between the different modules. The overall performance of the considered systems is analyzed and compared, to highlight the influence of each component on total efficiency.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
