In this paper, we analyze the performance of a timedivision synchronous code-division multiple access W-SCDMA). In particular, we investigate the impact of packet switched applications (far instance web browsing sessions) on the overall performance of the network. Here, we quantify the degradation of the voice users quality in the presence of packet data semces and viceversa. Finally, we investigate the impact of some power control parameters on the overall quality and we show that these parameters should be camfully chosen to balance the quality of voice and data users

Abstract
In this paper, we analyze the performance of a timedivision synchronous code-division multiple access W-SCDMA). In particular, we investigate the impact of packet switched applications (far instance web browsing sessions) on the overall performance of the network. Here, we quantify the degradation of the voice users quality in the presence of packet data semces and viceversa. Finally, we investigate the impact of some power control parameters on the overall quality and we show that these parameters should be camfully chosen to balance the quality of voice and data usersI documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
