Following his triumphant visit on Saturday 2nd February, three weeks after the launch of the Serval Operation, the French President Hollande has certified the success that has hitherto been achieved by the French ground forces and has definitively clarified the fact that what has been conducted in Mali is only formally a multilateral intervention. It is Paris that is leading the operations and it is France that has negotiated the intervention with the leading world forces, in particular with Washington.
