Abstract
The candles have not yet been put out for the twenty-fifth anniversary since the start of the European project to foster the circulation of European students and here comes the alarm, launched among others by the French Euro MP Alain Lamassoure, president of the budget commission of the European Parliament. The news came on 23rd October and exactly one week after it was accompanied by the sad news that the inventor of the project, the then young French student Franck Biancheri, had passed away after a long illness, at the age of fifty-one. Biancheri, the founder of the NGO Association des Etats Généraux des Etudiants de l’Europe (today is has around 15,000 members in over two hundred European cities), in the academic year 1986-87 was the promoter of the first network of twelve thousand university students scattered around 70 European cities and had persuaded the then French President François Mitterrand to support the project at the European institutional level.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
