Repeated measurements via non-destructive and mechanical tests in various environmental conditions were carried out on-site to assess the health-state of complex structures. The task WP5.6 of the experimental WP5 Comparative testing was entirely dedicated to this topic with the aim of demonstrating and verifying on real structures the outcome from laboratory calibration work as well as validating the developed diagnostic procedure on case studies. At this purposes, several experimental activities were performed during the project on the 3 main demonstration sites (Museum Island in Berlin, the Holy Cross Minster at Schwäbisch Gmünd and Palazzo Malvezzi, Bologna) and in the two additional test sites (Zahdeh building, Hebron and Schönbrunn Castle chapel, Vienna) chosen by the partners in order to cover different climatic zones, materials and environmental problematics (see deliverables of WP6). In addition, a specific NDT technique (IR thermography) was validated considering a supplementary test site located in the South of Italy.
