On the basis of a discussion on the existence of strain-softening in concrete, a monotonic constitutive law, the effective law, has been proposed by the present author. The identification of the effective parameters has been performed for quasistatic load processes. Here, we address applications of the effective law to modeling the response of structures to dynamic loadings.
