In January 2010 a 20-year-old woman was referred to our unit for painful purplish papules and plaques located on the acral areas, present since October 2009. (Fig. 1) Notably, 1 month after the onset of the skin lesions the patient had been diagnosed as having classical Hodgkin lymphoma (CHL) stage IIA with mediastinal bulky disease, which was treated with adriamycin, bleomycin, vinblastine and dacarbazine (ABVD).
