XANES and EXAFS spectra on the new high voltage Li[Li0.2Mn0.6-0.5xNi0.2-0.5xCox]O2 for lithium batteries have been recorded at the XAFS beamline. The used beam time was successful because the spectra were acquired at the all available metal Kedges (Co, Ni, and Mn) allowing to check main structural and electronic changes. Unlike the commercial material, the proposed cathodes displays a different behaviour: the Mn site in not as much modified during the battery charge, in an in-situ experiment.

Abstract
XANES and EXAFS spectra on the new high voltage Li[Li0.2Mn0.6-0.5xNi0.2-0.5xCox]O2 for lithium batteries have been recorded at the XAFS beamline. The used beam time was successful because the spectra were acquired at the all available metal Kedges (Co, Ni, and Mn) allowing to check main structural and electronic changes. Unlike the commercial material, the proposed cathodes displays a different behaviour: the Mn site in not as much modified during the battery charge, in an in-situ experiment.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
