Stesichorus’ poetry is featured by a dramatic, pretragic treatment of the myth, well recognized by the ancients. The attempt made in this article is that of reconstructing the possible ways of performative rendition of such treatment, through an examination of the poet’s ancient testimonia and fragments. Some importance is credited to the orchestic action.
