Due to the large amounts of polluted sludge waste from mineral extraction, harbor dredging, soil remediation, etc. it is indispensable to establish the most practicable way to manage this kind of waste. A better understanding of pollutants mobility is one key for both economical and ecological solutions to manage the sludge. The aim of this work is the chemical characterization of sludge cakes focusing on the mobility of pollutants in different environment scenarios. In this preliminary study the chemical characterization and leaching test were apply to better understand the effectiveness of dredged sludge soil washing treatment and red mud washing treatment. The tests were applied to the cakes out of a filter press, a system which is often put at the end of soil washing system and mining plants to improve the attributes of the waste products.

Abstract
The tests were applied to the cakes out of a filter press, a system which is often put at the end of soil washing system and mining plants to improve the attributes of the waste products.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
