SUMMARY - The ultrasonographic evaluation of 127 superficial lymph nodes was carried out in 93 dogs with isolated or multiple lymphadenopathy. The lymph nodal shape, ecogenicity, internal architecture and vascular distribution as well as arterial vascular parameters (i.e., mean velocity, resistive index and pulsatility index) were evaluated. Three groups of lymph nodes were identified: leishmania (n = 50), reactive (n = 44) and lymphoma (n= 33). Differences were found mainly regarding shape, margins, ecotexture and vascular distribution in the three groups of lymph nodes.
