CIGRE working group (WG) C4.605 on modelling and aggregation of loads in flexible power networks has been working to address a number of issues concerning load modelling. The work group has been working to generate a report covering the key areas of load modeling practice. Measurement based load modeling is one of the main chapters for this work group report. This paper is mainly a summary of various findings and recommendation from the work of Chapter 4 of the WG document titled “Recommended Methodologies for Development of Load models”. This paper presents a set of recommendations for load model development for both measurement based and component based approach.
