L’interdisciplinarità come elemento centrale per lo studio della devianza, della sicurezza e della vittimizzazione in un centro universitario di ricerca.

The article retraces the most significant stages of the foundation and the development of the activities of the Interdepartmental Centre for Research on Victimology and Security (Centro Interdipartimentale di Ricerca sulla Vittimologia e sulla Sicurezza (C.I.R.Vi.S.), established in May 1991 at the University of Bologna. The centre was created in order to satisfy the needs of thinking about protean social phenomena, like victimization processes after violent behaviours that cause concerns. It was and it is still a problem that the entire social body is questioned, while a plurality of responses should be required. For this reason, since its foundation, the centre takes advantage of the contribution of professors and researchers coming from different departments and institutes, without neglecting the solicitations coming from various actors of the professional world.

L’articolo ripercorre le tappe significative che hanno contraddistinto la nascita e lo sviluppo delle attività del Centro Interdipartimentale di Ricerca sulla Vittimologia e sulla Sicurezza (C.I.R.Vi.S.), istituito nel maggio 1991 presso l’Ateneo di Bologna. Il Centro nasceva dall’esigenza di riflettere su fenomeni sociali proteiformi, quali sono appunto i processi di vittimizzazione derivanti da comportamenti violenti, che inquietano e pongono domande. La consapevolezza di trovarsi di fronte ad un problema che interrogava e che interroga tutt’oggi l’intero corpo sociale e che richiedeva una pluralità di risposte ha fatto sì che, sin dalla sua istituzione, il Centro si sia avvalso dell’apporto dei Docenti afferenti a diversi Dipartimenti ed Istituti universitari senza, tuttavia, trascurare le sollecitazioni provenienti dalle differenti realtà professionali.
