the concentration of mRNA for the PLAC1 gene in maternal blood is lower in cases affected by early vaginal bleeding before 10 weeks of gestation with a viable embryo but not at 15–18 weeks. Such results are indicative of a role of PLAC1 in the regulation of a normal fetal-maternal interface during the early stages of human fetal development.

Abstract

the concentration of mRNA for the PLAC1 gene in maternal blood is lower in cases affected by early vaginal bleeding before 10 weeks of gestation with a viable embryo but not at 15–18 weeks. Such results are indicative of a role of PLAC1 in the regulation of a normal fetal-maternal interface during the early stages of human fetal development.
