The problem of code acquisition for Galileo receivers is considered in this paper, with the aim of improve the receiver sensitivity, enabling indoor positioning. Non-Coherent Soft combining with Post Detection Integration (PDI) is proposed to cope with the presence of the unwanted secondary code data transitions as well as non-ideal carrier recovery. Analytical and simulated results show that the proposed approach is an interesting solution to provide satisfactory performance with limited complexity.
