In the early 2000s several scholars have felt the need to develop new interpretive tools to come to terms with the rapidly evolving conditions of production, circulation and reception of books in the age of globalisation. As a result, a large number of studies on world literature – as well as on literature and globalisation – have been recently published. As a result, a large number of studies on world literature – as well as on literature and globalisation – have been recently published.
