The article introduces a new manuscript for the study of the relationship between the famous Hanbali Ahmed ibn Taymiyya (d. 1328) and his collegue Shams al-Din al-Dhahabi (d. 1348). It is divided in three sections: the first discusses the contents of the manuscript and highlights its importance for the role of Ibn Taymiyya in the scholarly community of his time, the second presents the edition of the text and the third consists of an annotated translation of the text.
