The article describes and discusses the papers included in the volume Antigone e le Antigoni. Steiner’s perspective of analysis and reconstruction of the literary tradition of Sophocles' tragedy is still effective and useful, despite the redundancy and the 'noise' created by the excess of exegesis and interpretations of interpretations. But the course of rewritings of Antigones is not yet concluded; in particular, the post-colonial world shows a significant revitalization of Antigones and its subversive and revolutionary role against actual political and social models of injustice (or misleading paradigms of cricitism).

Abstract
The article describes and discusses the papers included in the volume Antigone e le Antigoni. Steiner’s perspective of analysis and reconstruction of the literary tradition of Sophocles' tragedy is still effective and useful, despite the redundancy and the 'noise' created by the excess of exegesis and interpretations of interpretations. But the course of rewritings of Antigones is not yet concluded; in particular, the post-colonial world shows a significant revitalization of Antigones and its subversive and revolutionary role against actual political and social models of injustice (or misleading paradigms of cricitism).I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
