At its fourth edition and in strong growth, the International Conference on Extrusion and Benchmark (ICEB 2011, www.ice-b.net) will be held in Bologna, Italy from 3 to 5 October 2011. Hundreds among extruders die makers, software house and researchers will meet and discuss on the core technology of light metal extrusion. The conference will maintain its original and appreciated format: a mix of FEM codes benchmarking, presentation and discussion of the recent advancements in extrusion technology from all over the world, some most interesting advanced courses for high-level technicians. This will allow every participant to have the widest and up-to-date picture on this sector, which is already facing the strongest challenges: the competition in the global market and the development of sustainable production methods.
