In this paper we propose a Virtual Reality simulation system. The aim of this simulator is to provide a tool to early investigate the application of three-dimensional graphics in future HUDs. First concept results of 3D weather data representation in cruise and approach scenarios are presented. This work has been developed in the framework of the ALICIA (All Conditions Operations and Innovative Cockpit Infrastructure) Project (Seventh Framework Programme of the European Commission).

Abstract
