This paper presents the design, the functional analysis and the manufacturing of EPSILON (Experimental Plastic Satellite. Innovative, Light, Off-the-shelf, Nano), a cube shaped nanosatellite. The aim is to demonstrate that rapid prototyping techniques, which are being diffused in the design and development of industrial products, can be effectively applied to re-engineer and manufacture nanosatellites with complex structures and tight mission requirements.

Abstract
This paper presents the design, the functional analysis and the manufacturing of EPSILON (Experimental Plastic Satellite. Innovative, Light, Off-the-shelf, Nano), a cube shaped nanosatellite. The aim is to demonstrate that rapid prototyping techniques, which are being diffused in the design and development of industrial products, can be effectively applied to re-engineer and manufacture nanosatellites with complex structures and tight mission requirements.File in questo prodotto:
