According to collapse theories, contemporary industrial societies are destined to collapse in the near future due to interconnected and irreversible crises in climate, biodiversity, energy, and economy. Against this backdrop, the article outlines three possible directions of action, namely the creation of spaces for processing difficult emotions, the promotion of a non-dystopian collective imagination, and the experimentation with political practices based on «power with» rather than «power over».

Abstract
According to collapse theories, contemporary industrial societies are destined to collapse in the near future due to interconnected and irreversible crises in climate, biodiversity, energy, and economy.
