Una experiencia docente con letras de cambio: construyendo puentes entre Derecho Mercantil e Historia

This article presents a teaching innovation proposal based on the collaboration between the areas of Commercial Law and History, offering students an active and contextualized learning experience about bills of exchange. The activity focuses on the analysis of sixteenth-century bills of exchange, whose origins date back to the twelfth and thirteenth centuries, that recorded the financial operations of merchant families in Europe. Subsequently, current concepts and practices are addressed and applied in accordance with existing regulations. From an interdisciplinary perspective, students examine these sources both as historical evidence of international trade and as precursors of a negotiable instrument that remains in force.
