La obra de arte rescatada. Nuevos datos y lectura de la tabla del maestro de Gamonal procedente de las Claras de Valladolid

This present study focuses on the work known as Virgin of the Rosary with donors (c. 1515), attributed to the «maestro de Gamonal». There are several doubts about its iconography and regarding the family that commissioned it, issues that we will try to clarify in order to a better understanding of this curious work, not only from an artistic point of view, but also because of the tradition and pious donation linked to it. Finally, reference will be made to its incorporation into the permanent collection of the Museo Nacional de Escultura following its acquisition by the State.
