The well-being of individuals and communities is a fundamental objective of governmental policies. Notably, enhancementsin population mental health are consistently correlated with improved economic outcomes (Santini et al., 2022) and greaternational stability (DeKay, 2023). Conversely, poor mental health is linked to lower educational attainment, reduced labormarket participation, and adverse physical health outcomes, all of which can hinder individuals' positive engagement withintheir communities (Alegría et al., 2018). Although these factors are typically regarded as indicators of societal progress, theirtrue significance is determined by the extent to which they contribute to the overall well-being of the population (Livingstonet al., 2022). In this sense, the mental health and well-being of a population serve as integrative measures of theeffectiveness of social, economic, and political systems (OECD, 2024).
