This project is a scoping review of perceptual, behavioral, and emotional responses to home built environments among school-aged children aged 3–12 years with physical mobility impairments. Physical mobility impairments are treated as a functional umbrella concept covering children who experience limitations in limb function, postural control, independent movement, or everyday mobility and who may require assistive devices or support from caregivers. The review will examine how children’s mobility abilities interact with spatial conditions, assistive technologies, caregiving relationships, and opportunities for participation in home and closely related everyday environments.
