Die Wiedergewinnung der politischen Philosophie bei Albertus Magnus

In recent decades, studies on Albert the Great’s thought have flourished remarkably. A crucial aspect of Albert’s thought has been neglected, and perhaps still is: what Sven Lichtmann calls “political philosophy”. A comprehensive review of Lichtmann’s monumental study is clearly beyond the scope here. I will therefore highlight some key findings in the section devoted to the sources and four passages of his rich analysis of Albert the Great’s writings.
