This paper presents the results of the 2017–2018 Italian-Pakistani archaeological mission at Banbhore, examining new evidence on urban layout, architecture, and material culture. Excavations revealed buildings, streets, and craft production, particularly ivory working, refining the chronology of the site’s final Islamic occupation and documenting the gradual decline of the ancient port of Daybul.
