The article provides a concise analysis of Directive (EU) n. 2647/2025, reforming the European framework on consumer ADR in response to the shortcomings of Directive (EU) n. 11/2013 in digital markets. It highlights the extension of the material scope, the strengthening of traders’ participation, and the emergence of “collectivised” consumer ADR schemes, with particular focus on Article 5(2)(d) and its still incomplete coordination with Regulation (EU) n. 1689/2024 (AI Act). The paper concludes by outlining the main implications for the Italian legal system.
