The paper compares the drawings of logboats reported by Gastone Trevisiol in his excavation notebook with the photos documenting the recovery phases of the hulls before their transport to the Museum. The drawings are characterised by precise lines and show the boats intact and very similar to each other – even those photographed in fragments inside the quarry, and those recovered by workers – laid out outside the quarry. In the drawings the outer profile of the cross-section is always very arched and does not correspond to what can be seen in some photos where the sides are vertical or slightly arched and the bottom is flat. The strong curved shape of the cross-section is also maintained in the inner part where, however, in some cases the bottom is shown flat. Therefore, the shape of the logboats (monoxyles) of the Fimon valleys known so far is reviewed in the light of these documents and a new hull section is proposed.

Abstract
Therefore, the shape of the logboats (monoxyles) of the Fimon valleys known so far is reviewed in the light of these documents and a new hull section is proposed.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
