Those who are different (that’s to say, queer) from the heterosexual nature are as much a threat to peace, provoking wars, or pandemics, as they are to the social order, arousing divine wrath and demanding undue privileges. The author aims to demonstrate, thanks by Roberto Esposito’s political theory, that the threat represented by queer community is expressed, according to heteronormative society, in terms of contagion and, consequently, resolved through immunisation mechanisms: a certain idea of what is natural, normal, and healthy (heterosexuality) that must be protected from what is not natural and healthy – a disease, therefore.

Abstract
Those who are different (that’s to say, queer) from the heterosexual nature are as much a threat to peace, provoking wars, or pandemics, as they are to the social order, arousing divine wrath and demanding undue privileges. The author aims to demonstrate, thanks by Roberto Esposito’s political theory, that the threat represented by queer community is expressed, according to heteronormative society, in terms of contagion and, consequently, resolved through immunisation mechanisms: a certain idea of what is natural, normal, and healthy (heterosexuality) that must be protected from what is not natural and healthy – a disease, therefore.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
