Planning Perspectives welcomes papers that increase understanding of the institutions, documents, processes, practices and practitioners that have shaped the historical development of urban and regional planning. It features original research in manuscripts of up to 10,000 words. Papers of a comparative or thematic nature are welcomed. No historical period is excluded. Planning Perspectives facilitates interdisciplinary networking among planning historians worldwide. To raise awareness of current and emerging work in the field, the peer-reviewed section Connexions publishes short contributions of no more than 4,000 words. These may include manuscripts on research in progress and historiographical essays, as well as personal reminiscences, accounts of archival sources or datasets, reports of conferences, symposia and seminars and announcements of relevance to scholars and practitioners in the field.
