Contemporary scientific literature highlights how new generations of parents are confronted with significant challenges, particularly those related to work–life balance, social isolation, and increasingly intensive and performance‑oriented parenting models. These difficulties are further exacerbated by the weakening of familial, relational, and welfare support networks, as well as by broader social and cultural pressures. This article examines these issues also drawing on two empirical qualitative studies: one conducted with parents using 0–6 educational services (2023, Municipality of Livorno), and one with educational staff working in 0–6 services (2024, Municipality of Bologna). Within the framework of family pedagogy, the contribution offers a reflection on the fundamental role played by early childhood educational and school services as educating communities capable of providing opportunities for dialogue, shared reflection, and support for parenting. In particular, the analysis underscores the importance of the educational alliance between educational professionals and parents, conceptualized as a strategic resource and as a protective and resilience‑enhancing factor.
La letteratura scientifica evidenzia come le nuove generazioni di genitori affrontino sfide rilevanti riconducibili, in particolare, alla conciliazione vita-lavoro, all’isolamento sociale e a modelli genitoriali intensivi e performativi. È noto, altresì̀, come tali criticità̀ siano esacerbate dalla debolezza delle reti di supporto familiari, relazionali e di welfare e da pressioni sociali e culturali. L’articolo analizza le suddette tematiche anche a partire da due indagini empiriche con approccio qualitativo: una condotta con genitori utenti dei servizi educativi 0-6 (2023, Comune di Livorno), con il personale educativo dei servizi 0-6 (2024, Comune di Bologna). Collocandosi nel framework della pedagogia delle famiglie, il contributo propone una riflessione sul ruolo fondamentale dei servizi educativi e scolastici come comunità educanti capaci di offrire momenti di confronto, condivisione e sostegno alla genitorialità. In particolare, viene evidenziata l’importanza dell’alleanza educativa tra professionisti dell’educazione e genitori, intesa come risorsa strategica, fattore protettivo e di resilienza.
