The Hydrogen sulfide emission is without doubt one of the most important problems that has to be solved in geothermal power plants. On this topic many solutions have been proposed and many methods have been patented. Hydrogen Sulfide can be emitted from two main sources. The primary emission that is characteristic of the emission from the compressor, settled down from the turbine, and secondary emission that is originated from cooling towers. In this paper it will be shown as it is possible to modify the Hydrogen sulfide division between primary and secondary emissions. This result is extremely interesting because primary emission can be easily treated whereas to reduce Hydrogen sulfide secondary emission expensive and difficult operations are necessary.

Abstract
The Hydrogen sulfide emission is without doubt one of the most important problems that has to be solved in geothermal power plants. On this topic many solutions have been proposed and many methods have been patented. Hydrogen Sulfide can be emitted from two main sources. The primary emission that is characteristic of the emission from the compressor, settled down from the turbine, and secondary emission that is originated from cooling towers. In this paper it will be shown as it is possible to modify the Hydrogen sulfide division between primary and secondary emissions. This result is extremely interesting because primary emission can be easily treated whereas to reduce Hydrogen sulfide secondary emission expensive and difficult operations are necessary.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
