The paper explores Margherita Zoebeli’s contribution to the promotion of a pedagogical approach that, by anticipating many of the most modern concepts of special pedagogy and inclusive education, is grounded in solid scientific knowledge and in a strong commitment to acting concretely on social reality. This pedagogy views the school as a place of education capable of changing the world, where every child feels safe, lives a meaningful and dynamic experience, and is actively involved in moments of intense social life within the classroom and the school.
