In this interview with Claudio Paolucci, we try to address the relation between Deleuze and semiotics. While semiotics has always had a methodological vocation, Deleuze’s distinctive style of thought − which, we believe, does not take the form of a method − is a particularly fertile ground for semiotic inquiry. In this paper semiotics is challenged by Deleuze’s style. Conversely, Deleuze is challenged by semiotics. Our aim is to show that the relationship between Deleuze and semiotics is best understood as a double capture, an assemblage of mutual transformation. With this in mind we focus on various topics: enunciation, interpretation, event, diagrammaticity, simulacrality, iconism, semiosis etc
