The paper introduces the non-invasive investigations carried out in the Reno Valley with the support of the Alma Scavi funding programme and as part of recently initiated research projects. In particular, the first results of new geophysical surveys are presented. The surveys have been performed in areas directly connected with the archaeological site of Kainua-Marzabotto, either because they were included in the ancient urban grid or were part of the service road network to the Etruscan city.

Abstract

The paper introduces the non-invasive investigations carried out in the Reno Valley with the support of the Alma Scavi funding programme and as part of recently initiated research projects. In particular, the first results of new geophysical surveys are presented. The surveys have been performed in areas directly connected with the archaeological site of Kainua-Marzabotto, either because they were included in the ancient urban grid or were part of the service road network to the Etruscan city.
