We are pleased to introduce a new issue of ZoneModa Journal dedicated to inclusivity in fashion, edited by Flavia Piancazzo, Monica Sassatelli, and Roberta Paltrinieri. Their reflections show how the broadening of aesthetic canons — encouraged by the global circulation of images and ongoing digital transformations — opens meaningful possibilities while also revealing the persistence of exclusions, ambivalences, and forms of merely performative inclusivity. The contributions gathered here explore these dynamics from different perspectives: education as a site of multisensory experimentation and collaboration; design as a practice that brings abilities, differences, and vulnerabilities to visibility; media and digital environments as spaces where inclusive potential coexists with new representational tensions. The Backstage section further enriches the discussion, offering a vivid and multifaceted critical landscape attentive to both emerging research and more established trajectories. Menarini, R. (2025). Editorial. ZoneModa Journal, 15(2), i-ii. https://doi.org/10.60923/issn.2611-0563/23497 This issue also marks the beginning of a new phase in the journal’s editorial direction. We welcome this transition in a spirit of continuity, acknowledging the work accomplished thus far and renewing our commitment to maintaining the journal as a space of interdisciplinary dialogue, scientific rigor, and attentiveness to the cultural transformations that shape the fashion system. We wish all our readers an enjoyable reading experience and a peaceful Christmas.
