A plasmonic biosensor based on a nanopatterned metasurface is presented for the recognition and differentiation of Shiga toxins (Stx1a, Stx2a, Stx2a-cl). Using Surface-Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy (SERS) and principal component analysis (PCA), the system enables highly sensitive, label-free identification, offering a promising tool for improved diagnostics of STEC infections.
