This dossier examines language phenomena from the perspective of contact, interaction, and boundary processes, deliberately avoiding fixed disciplinary or methodological frameworks. The collected articles adopt heterogeneous approaches that foreground the dynamic interplay between collective structures and individual practices in meaning-making. Central to the volume is the analysis of interactions between cultural anchoring and linguistic supports, understood as ecological margins where adaptation, negotiation, and transformation occur. The contributions highlight the tension between systemic grammatical organization and locally situated practices, emphasizing the limits of prior codification and the role of interaction in shaping identities and values. By addressing phenomena of interface and interpenetration, the dossier advances a relational and process-oriented understanding of language, social practices, and forms of life.
