This tutorial presents INSANE, a middleware designed to make kernel bypass networking accessible and portable. As modern hardware and software stacks, such as SmartNICs and DPDK, push cloud communication performance to new boundaries, most existing middleware still rely only on traditional kernel-based networking. The INSANE middleware bridges this gap through a data-centric, sidecar-based architecture that maps high-level user QoS policies to the best available network stack. This tutorial on INSANE combines a concise overview of network acceleration techniques, an introduction to the INSANE middleware architecture, and a hands-on coding session. Participants will gain both conceptual understanding and practical experience in building high-performance, portable communication systems with minimal programming effort.

Abstract
Participants will gain both conceptual understanding and practical experience in building high-performance, portable communication systems with minimal programming effort.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
