Abstract
The present study provides a commentary on the figure of Osiris of Shedenu, located in the Eastern Delta. The available sources on the presence of the god in this town are dated to the 26th dynasty. Osiris of Shedenu is one of the numerous Osirian forms of the first millennium BC that enjoyed importance, albeit, in this case, on a local level. Although the Osirian doctrines of Shedenu seem to have been focused on the rebirth of the god since the Saite period, they underwent a significant change during the 30th dynasty.File in questo prodotto:
